Jim and I went to the meeting last night, with about 100 brother knights in attendance with the Supreme representatives. Very interesting what was discussed and questions that were posed.

As I said before I will not bring anything up in the general meeting this evening. I will be putting together a presentation over the next couple of days with the assistance of our Worthy Financial Secretary since he was at the same meeting with me; this way I can be sure to have all the facts correct. Once I get this together I’ll send to all of you for comment and discussion; if we need to, we can meet before the next scheduled officer’s meeting and talk about this one issue. Just to let you all know my feelings and thoughts have not changed about how this was presented, and in general the implications it implies to all our brother Knights; however, I do not believe Bishops Soto or Cotta even remotely intended to imply what was received by the members who read the letters sent to our respective pastors.

I am meeting with our pastor to discuss several things and this will be one of them. Gentlemen this will all work out and it will be for the better of our Council and the working relationship with the Church. That being said, it probably won’t be without some pain and a little heartburn (I have chewable TUMS available on request).

Pax Christi vobiscum,

Mark
