Father Colin would like 4 volunteers to help hold the canopy for a Eucharistic procession on December 8 following at 6:30 PM mass for immaculate conception in Sutter Creek. This like we did for Sacred Heart in October.

                                                                       Church Vandalism @ Our Lady of Lourdes in Colusa

On Tuesday October 25th during the day someone broke into Our lady of Lourdes Church in Colusa. The person caught on camera was identified by law enforcement as a homeless man from the area. He was in the church causing damage for over 45 minutes. The items that will need to be replaced or repaired ? Tabernacle, Alter, Ambo, Baptism Font, Piano & Piano Bench, Alter cloths, AC/heater control panel, Credence Table, Vases, Internet modem, statues, Holy Water Bucket, Candle holders, Thurifer, Crucifixes, Liturgy books, Ciborium, Ambry & Lecterns. Many of these items will need replacement especially the Tabernacle, Alter & Baptism Font. Once I receive information on the total amount of damages done, I will be sure to inform everyone. I do not know what type of insurance they have through Catholic Mutual.
Preliminary estimate of damages is well in excess of $100,000
If you would like to donate, please make all checks payable to Our Lady of Lourdes with the memo Church Restoration. Checks can be mailed to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 745 Ware Ave. Colusa CA. 95932
His Excellency Bishop Soto did go to the church the following day & did a service of penance & reparation.
The Parish populous is small and it is in a rural farming community where most of its Parishioners are low income and the Parish struggles financially.

                                                                       Church Vandalism @ Our Lady of Lourdes in Colusa

On Tuesday October 25th during the day someone broke into Our lady of Lourdes Church in Colusa. The person caught on camera was identified by law enforcement as a homeless man from the area. He was in the church causing damage for over 45 minutes. The items that will need to be replaced or repaired ? Tabernacle, Alter, Ambo, Baptism Font, Piano & Piano Bench, Alter cloths, AC/heater control panel, Credence Table, Vases, Internet modem, statues, Holy Water Bucket, Candle holders, Thurifer, Crucifixes, Liturgy books, Ciborium, Ambry & Lecterns. Many of these items will need replacement especially the Tabernacle, Alter & Baptism Font. Once I receive information on the total amount of damages done, I will be sure to inform everyone. I do not know what type of insurance they have through Catholic Mutual.
Preliminary estimate of damages is well in excess of $100,000
If you would like to donate, please make all checks payable to Our Lady of Lourdes with the memo Church Restoration. Checks can be mailed to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 745 Ware Ave. Colusa CA. 95932
His Excellency Bishop Soto did go to the church the following day & did a service of penance & reparation.
The Parish populous is small and it is in a rural farming community where most of its Parishioners are low income and the Parish struggles financially.

>> On Tuesday October 25th during the day someone broke into Our lady of Lourdes Church in Colusa. The person caught on camera was identified by law enforcement as a homeless man from the area. He was in the church causing damage for over 45 minutes. The items that will need to be replaced or repaired ? Tabernacle, Alter, Ambo, Baptism Font, Piano & Piano Bench, Alter cloths, AC/heater control panel, Credence Table, Vases, Internet modem, statues, Holy Water Bucket, Candle holders, Thurifer, Crucifixes, Liturgy books, Ciborium, Ambry & Lecterns. Many of these items will need replacement especially the Tabernacle, Alter & Baptism Font. Once I receive information on the total amount of damages done, I will be sure to inform everyone. I do not know what type of insurance they have through Catholic Mutual.
