Worthy District Deputy,

 

Last Sunday, I was privileged to greet the veterans who participated in the Honor Flight to Washington DC.  They were given wheelchairs funded from last year's campaign.

 

We are designating this year’s American Wheelchair Mission’s fundraising to the Holy Land and the Middle East.  The wheelchairs will be distributed by Caritas, a charitable Catholic organization based in Rome and currently headed by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.

 

We can help our Christian brothers and sisters in the Middle East.  We ask that each council donate two wheelchairs at a cost of $150 each before December 31, 2016.  You may think that two wheelchairs cannot make a difference in the Middle East.  The two wheelchairs that each council donate will provide mobility to two individuals and those two wheelchairs will definitely make a difference in their lives.  

 

Worthy District Deputy, as you visit the councils in your district or call the Grand Knights this month, please encourage them to make the donation.
